Message Big props to Charles Parks @ Powertrix Performance for coming through with a quality one off carbon fiber hatch for my project. This piece is perfect in fitment and finish. It lines up almost identical to a stock hatch. Internals of the hatch are factory similiar with locations of stock holes easily tappable. I have seen both fiberglass and cf hatches in the past and have had little eagerness to make the jump into one. And like many of you know, Powertrix is known for making some great quality CF parts....this CF was no exception.

Now onto the pics.

Time to say goodbye to stockie hatch.

Recieved it in a huge almost piano sized box. Shipping was fair though.

The underside of the hatch. Notice the construction. Very clean

Stock hardware bolted on with no problems. Had to check my work twice. Sure enough, fit was dead on.

And the hatch installed. Still making a decision on whether to utilize Lexan or OEM glass.

Nutshell results -

The stock NA hatch came in at 81.2lbs total with glass/2 hinges/striker/3rd brake light.

New CF hatch weighed in at 16.8lbs with hinges and striker installed. Oem glass is coming in at 18.9lbs. Not sure on how much a Lexan rear window would weigh, but I'll need to find out on that and it's street legality as well.

Anways, that is my project as of today. Just wanted to thank Charles at Powertrix for getting me a very nice piece to fill my project needs. Props to him for great service and a great item.

Woot. Woot.
